Welcome to my webpage!

I'm Arup Mondal, fifth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Ashoka University, advised by Dr. Debayan Gupta. I am also a visiting Ph.D. student (Septermber 2024 - Current) at the Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt) in the Applied Cryptography Lab, working under the guidance of Dr. Sebastian Faust. My research has also greatly benefited from insightful technical contributions by Dr. Sikhar Patranabis from IBM Research India.

Previously, I spent time as a visiting Ph.D. student (November 2023 - September 2024) at the Center for Information Security and Trust (CISAT) at IT University of Copenhagen, where I am advised by Dr. Bernardo David. Before that, I gained valuable research experience as an intern (January 2023 - March 2023) at Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in the Crypto Research Center, working under the supervision of Dr. Abdelrahaman Aly.

I completed my master’s degree in Computer Science at Banaras Hindu University, working with Prof. Swapan Kumar Basu on some aspects of Computer Architecture. My undergraduate degree was in Computer Science from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur.

Research Interests:

My primary area of interest is the theory and design of secure cryptographic schemes for Applied and Verifiable Cryptography. In addition to this, I have a great deal of interest in cryptographic delay functions.
